The iPhone 17 will get 12GB of RAM for the first time

Analytics firm TrendForce predicts iPhone 17 shipments will grow 3.5% over the iPhone 16 series in 2024. The report also reveals key features of the upcoming lineup, which will include four models. For the first time in iPhone history, the Air, Pro, and Pro Max versions will get 12GB of RAM.
The regular iPhone 17 will feature a 6.2-inch flexible AMOLED display with LTPO and a 120Hz refresh rate, according to TrendForce. The smartphone will get an A19 chip based on TSMC’s 3nm process technology, 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Pricing is predicted to be $799, $899, and $1,099.

iPhone 17 Air (the name is still tentative) may come with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz LTPO and the same A19 chip, but with 12GB of RAM. Storage capacities will be 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, and prices will be $1,099, $1,299, and $1,499.
iPhone 17 Pro is also expected to get a 6.2-inch AMOLED LTPO display, but powered by the more powerful A19 Pro processor. The device will be offered with 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of storage. It will be priced at $1,199, $1,399, and $1,599.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max flagship will be the biggest, with a 6.8-inch AMOLED LTPO 120Hz, A19 Pro chip, 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. Pricing is projected at $1,299, $1,499, and $1,699.
