An insider has declassified the screen sizes of the upcoming iPhone 18 lineup
The upcoming iPhone 18 lineup has already moved into the early prototyping phase, according to insider Digital Chat Station, giving the first glimpse of how Apple plans to refine the display design in the next generations of smartphones. We’re not talking about a radical redesign, but rather point changes to the screen layout and a clearer separation of models.
According to the source, all versions of the iPhone 18 are already undergoing internal testing. The base iPhone 18 is said to get a 6.27-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will retain the current design with Dynamic Island. Next to it, the lineup is expected to include the iPhone Air 2 with a 6.55-inch LTPO screen at 120Hz — Apple will continue to bet on a thinner and lighter body without changing the familiar front-facing design.

The most notable changes are being prepared for the Pro versions. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are rumored to be testing with 6.27-inch and 6.86-inch displays, respectively, also with LTPO sensors and 120Hz. The main innovation — moving part of the Face ID system under the screen. As a result, only a small hole for the front camera will remain on the front panel, and the Dynamic Island area will be smaller for the first time since its introduction in the iPhone 14 Pro.
It’s also being reported that Apple may change its usual release schedule. Instead of a simultaneous fall announcement of the entire lineup, the company allegedly plans to unveil the flagship devices first. The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and foldable iPhone are expected to be released in late 2026, while the standard iPhone 18 and a possible iPhone 18e could arrive in spring 2027. Specific release dates for the iPhone Air 2 have not yet been announced.
