Huawei is preparing the first smartphone on full HarmonyOS

Huawei has officially announced that the first smartphone running full version of HarmonyOS will be unveiled next week. The announcement was made by the company’s CEO Richard Yu, who published a teaser video of the new device.
Design and Display
According to insiders WHYLAB and Digital Chat Station, the new product is likely to be a folding Pocket 3 smartphone with the codename Verde. It is expected to be compact, thinner and lighter than its predecessor.
- Internal foldable screen – about 6.28 inches
- External display – approximately 3.5 inches
- The aspect ratio is 3:2, making it wider than most foldable smartphones

Camera and additional features
Pocket 3, according to leaks, will get:
- 50MP main camera with enlarged sensor for high-quality photos
- Water and dust protection
- Fingerprint scanner on the side edge
- Improved folding mechanism

This smartphone will be Huawei’s first device to run on a full version of HarmonyOS, which is a important step in moving away from Android solutions.
The official name of the smartphone is unconfirmed for now – it could come out as the Pocket 3 or under another name. Earlier it was reported that the device will be affordably priced.
