YouTube is getting serious about podcasts and has launched a new tool for creators

Podcasts have become the new standard for many streaming services. Spotify, Apple, Google and many other companies are trying to integrate podcasts into their services and attract as many, preferably popular, authors as possible.
YouTube — one service that is already promoting podcasts to its consumers as much as possible. To make it easier for creators to reach a larger audience, YouTube is launching a new feature that will allow podcast creators to upload episodes directly from their RSS feeds.

To start publishing podcasts from your RSS feed, you first need to connect your RSS feed to YouTube. The procedure is simple and requires a few steps, as outlined in a guide published by Google on YouTube’s support page:
- In YouTube Studio, click Create / New Podcast / Submit RSS Feed.
- Read and accept the RSS Ingestion Tool Terms of Service.
- Read the on-screen instructions and click Next.
- Enter the URL of your RSS feed and click Next.
- Click Submit Code to verify your account.
- Enter the verification code sent to the email address provided in the RSS feed and click Verify. If you do not know the email address listed in the RSS feed, contact your hosting provider.
- Select the episodes you want to upload to your YouTube podcast and click Next. You can choose to upload: All existing episodes; Episodes published since a certain date; Only future episodes.

- See the details and click Save.

To publish a feed, simply go to Content / Podcasts in YouTube Studio, and under «Video Counter» you’ll find a «Publish» button next to your podcast feed. The button appears only after you’ve finished uploading podcast episodes.

This tool allows creators to re-upload episodes, edit podcast details, and disconnect the RSS feed from their YouTube podcast.
