Yandex has built the YandexGPT neural network into the Masterpiece app
By ForGeeks Yandex has added YandexGPT (YaLM 2.0), a next-generation large language model, to Masterpieceroom. This allows users to get not only pictures in response to a text query, but also meaningful posts with a title and an accompanying picture. This opens up even more options for creativity, fun, and useful content.
With the help of YandexGPT in Shedevrum you can write a short story, compose a slogan, an ad, an invitation to a party and just come up with a funny joke. Neural networks will formulate a headline and propose variants of covers – images previously generated by Masterpiece users. The finished posts are published in a shared feed, where users can like them, see popular posts, and subscribe to each other.
Yandex introduced the beta version of the Masterpiece app on April 5, and on the day of launch it was already at the top of the Russian App Store. The image creation app for text-based queries using a neural network of graphics has been downloaded almost 3.5 million times.
The YandexGPT neural network first became available on May 17 in Alice’s new “Let’s Make Up” mode, and two million people have already taken advantage of its capabilities. The neural network was trained on Yandex supercomputers, the most powerful in Russia and Eastern Europe. It studied a huge amount of publicly available materials and hundreds of thousands of high-quality and informative texts created by the company’s employees, the authors of the internal Yandex crowdsourcing platform and AI trainers. The technology works in testing mode: a neural network can be wrong about facts, which does not prevent it from creating new ones.
