Yandex has launched Neuro. The service gives one answer using all the knowledge of the Internet

Yandex has combined the power of search and large generative models in its new service called Neuro. Users can ask it any question they want. To answer, neural networks will examine and select relevant sources from search results. The YandexGPT 3 family model will analyze them and combine the information it finds into one compact message with links to the materials.

Neuro can answer questions that require researching multiple sources on the internet. For example, it can answer questions like: «What plants can survive in a dark room without daily watering? » or «Should you go to Karelia in the fall and what to do there? » After receiving an answer, the user can ask Neuro additional questions or clarify the information during the dialog. The service takes into account the context of the conversation and understands natural language. To communicate with him does not need to come up with complex formulations — you can write queries as they come to mind. In addition, you can add pictures to text queries. For example, you could take a picture of a board game and ask it to explain its rules.

Neuro uses facts drawn not from the model’s own memory, but from various sources on the internet. This means that its answers contain fresh and relevant information, including data from just a few hours ago. Links to the web pages from which the information was obtained are always included in a separate block above the text. These links allow users to independently check the facts and delve into the topic of interest, and allow sites to gain additional traffic. Neuro is already available in the Yandex app with Alice and in the Yandex Browser. To use the service, you need to log in to Yandex and turn on the switch near the search bar.
