Support for Windows 10 updates will soon be discontinued, which could lead to security vulnerabilities in the operating system. The 0Patch team offers a solution to this problem, promising to release security patches for Windows 10 until 2030. However, users will have to pay for this service out of their own pockets.

The 0Patch team says it will provide support for the operating system for five years after the end of the official support period, which expires in October 2025. The developers promise to release patches with fixes for critical vulnerabilities, including zero-day vulnerabilities, as well as bug fixes for system applications and features, and patches for some exploits in third-party software.

Patches will be released in the future.

The company’s services are not free: a personal subscription for two years will cost 25.95 euros (2 440 rubles). Compared to Microsoft’s official Extended Security Update (ESU) subscription, which costs $61 (5 730 rubles) for each year of use on a single computer, it’s cheaper. However, you’ll still need to pay for the previous subscription period to sign up for a second year.
