Reviews for tenants appeared in Yandex Renta
By ForGeeks The Yandex Rent team has added the ability for rental property owners to leave reviews for tenants. The new feature will make choosing a reliable tenant easier.
According to the service, by July 2023, more than 90% of Rentals transactions have become online. Owners choose a tenant without face-to-face meetings, based on information from two sources: a tenant questionnaire that candidates fill out and a report from the service about the tenant’s trustworthiness. Now there is one more tool – feedback from owners.
Our research showed that 46% of owners found that feedback from other owners would help them make a decision on whether to move a tenant in. They are understandable: they will be entrusting their home to someone they have never met before. Many tenants are responsible people who treat other people’s property with respect. Reviews are needed to tell future landlords this and help them make their choice

Fill out tenant reviews now for all landlords renting out apartments with Yandex Rent. The responses will be available to those landlords who a particular tenant wants to move in with. The feedback can answer questions that most people who rent an apartment are concerned about: whether there are complaints from neighbors, whether the property was damaged, whether the tenant cleaned up before moving out, and whether there are any outstanding bills.
All reviews are checked by the service to make sure they are true. So, if a landlord writes that a tenant has not paid the bills, Rent will be able to find out if this is actually the case.
In addition, Yandex Renta’s “Cleanliness Expert” and “Debt-free move-in” statuses will appear in the review. They will be marked by employees of the service when accepting apartments after moving out. By the end of the year, Yandex Rent plans to launch reviews for owners and apartments on the service.
