In Yandex Rent you can rent an apartment in trade-in

Yandex Rent, a service for long-term rentals, has added the option to rent an apartment in trade-in. Specialists of the service will rent out the apartment from which the tenant is moving out and offer him a discount on renting a new one. The new rental format is available in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

Trade-in rent will help tenants to change their rented apartment faster and cheaper, and owners – to change tenants painlessly and reduce the downtime of the property. According to the Yandex Rent* survey, every third tenant was asked by landlords to postpone the move to allow more time to find tenants. The same number of respondents were asked to help find new tenants.

More than a third of renters (36%) have helped find tenants for a rental apartment they were planning to move out of. More than half of them offered to rent to friends or relatives. 39% posted ads on social media, and 19% of tenants helped the owners organize a viewing.

To take advantage of trade-in rent, a tenant needs to leave the contacts of the owner of the apartment he or she previously rented in a special form. Yandex Rent will contact the landlord and help to rent the apartment to new tenants. Specialists of the service will take care of the whole process of renting – from expert assessment of the cost and creation of a virtual tour of the apartment to the publication of ads and collection of applications. The owner will only have to choose new tenants based on detailed profiles of candidates. Now more than half of Yandex Rent apartments are rented out in less than 5 days.

You can start looking for new tenants even before you move out of the apartment or at any time after you move in. As soon as the owner re-rents, tenants who use the trade-in mechanic will receive a 50% discount on one payment for their new rental apartment.
