Online retailer Lamoda has launched a new service that will allow users to try on clothes virtually before buying. The pilot project, which is testing this functionality, covers almost 300 products.
Lamoda has launched a new service that will allow users to try on clothes virtually before buying them.
Lamoda is the first multi-brand store in Russia to launch an online clothes fitting room. The new feature is available to a part of users in test mode in the mobile application on iOS.
A size recommendation can be generated based on four basic parameters: gender, height, weight and age. Based on this size, a visual image is automatically generated on a model with the same parameters. Users can upload their own photo for personalization. About 300 popular items are currently available on the platform, including dresses, pants, shirts, sweaters, jeans, tops, T-shirts and other apparel items.
All of these items are available on the platform.
The project’s technology partner is startup Texel, which specializes in computer vision technology, neural networks and artificial intelligence in the fashion retail industry.
