Corsair has launched a new portable SSD that is compatible with computers and smartphones. This accessory not only offers high data transfer speeds, but also a rugged enclosure and a convenient mechanism for attaching it to today’s iPhones.

Corsair EX300U, available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB versions, is capable of sequential read and write speeds of up to 1100MB/s. The device is housed in a rugged metal enclosure with MagSafe mounting and is compatible with Android, iOS/iPadOS, Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems.

The device uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C for connectivity, providing up to 10Gbps throughput. Inside the drive is 3D NAND memory (no DRAM) and a Phison PS2217-17 (U17) controller. The device weighs 98 grams and has a write capacity of — 250 TBW for every terabyte of capacity.

At the end of the day, the drive is designed to provide a high level of write performance.

It comes with two USB-C cables that are 30 centimeters and 7 centimeters long, the latter of which has an angled connector. According to the manufacturer, the drive is overload and vibration-resistant.

The Corsair EX300U is available in U.S. stores for $99 (8,000 rubles) for the 1TB version, $159 (12,960 rubles) for 2TB, and $324 (26,400 rubles) for 4TB.
