Xiaomi unveiled the giant 86-inch Redmi TV X 2026 with Mini LED panel and gaming mode

Xiaomi has announced a new affordable smart TV, the Redmi TV X 2026, which comes with premium specs at a relatively low price.
The main feature of the model is a huge 86-inch screen with Mini LED backlighting, 4K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and VRR support. Brightness reaches 1200 nits, and 640 zones of local dimming are responsible for accurately displaying scenes. Thanks to a built-in light sensor, the TV automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature to match the ambient light.
Filmmaker Mode—for movie buffs, it turns off features like AI upscaling, noise reduction, and MEMC while maintaining the most accurate color reproduction possible.

Gamers will be happy too: the Redmi TV X 2026 supports 4K at 144Hz, and in gaming mode, the frequency can be ramped up to 288Hz (with resolution downgraded to 2560×1440). The latency is reduced to 4ms at the same time. There is support for Dolby Vision Gaming and AMD FreeSync Premium.
The device is powered by — a MediaTek MT9655 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The TV runs HyperOS 3.
In China, the Redmi TV X 2026 is already on sale at a price of 4,800 yuan (about $674). The model is the successor to last year’s Redmi TV X 2025.
