Samsung will release the SmartTag 2 in October

Samsung’s second-generation smart tracker already passed through the NBTC and FCC a couple weeks ago, so it’s only a matter of time before it hits the market — just a matter of time. We’ve even gotten a good look at the SmartTag 2 from the FCC listing.

According to UK retailer MobileFun, the company will announce the SmartTag 2 in October, and we even got some official renders of the device in two colors —black and white.

The new tag will reportedly support UWB connectivity by default, so you won’t have to splurge on a plus option this year. It will also likely work with Google’s Find My Device feature, which all Android phones support.
