BenQ unveiled the GV32, a compact ceiling-mount projector with Google TV and Netflix support

BenQ has announced the new GV32 portable LED projector, designed for home entertainment in small spaces like a bedroom or student dorm. The device supports 1080p resolution, runs on Google TV and is officially Netflix certified. The projector is already available for pre-order in the U.S. for $599, and users will receive a 100-inch portable screen as a gift.
The GV32 retains the design of the GV series with a swivel base that offers 135° vertical tilt and full 360° horizontal rotation. This makes it easy to project images onto walls or ceilings from any position. Auto focus, 2D keystone correction, auto image rotation and digital zoom are available for easy customization.
The projector delivers 500 ANSI lumens with 100,000:1 contrast ratio, supports HDR10 and HLG, and covers 95% of the Rec.709 color spectrum with CinematicColor technology. Sound is handled by a built-in 2.1 system with two 4W speakers and a 10W subwoofer in a separate speaker chamber.
The software platform is Google TV powered by Android 11 with access to more than 10,000 apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube and Disney+. AirPlay, Google Cast, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi are supported. Through the SmartRemote app, you can control brightness, picture settings, and app launches from your smartphone.
The GV32 features HDMI 2.0b, USB-A and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode support. USB-C not only allows you to connect devices like the Nintendo Switch, but also allows you to power the projector with an external battery with 60W or more (over 90W is required for maximum brightness).
The GV32 is equipped with HDMI.bb, USB-A, and USB-C support for DisplayPort Alt Mode.
The projector is capable of producing a 100-inch image from just 2.5 meters away, and can magnify the picture up to 120 inches. Its dimensions are 130×211.2×191.4 mm and weight — 1.6 kg.
