Anker revealed Eufy FamiLock E34 smart lock with unusual biometric scanner

Anker has unveiled the Eufy FamiLock E34 smart lock, which features a unique biometric scanner that recognizes the pattern of veins in the user’s palm.
Eufy FamiLock E34 is installed in a door instead of a traditional lock and allows the door to be opened contactlessly using a vein scanner. Anker claims that this method is up to 99.99999% accurate, with a recognition speed of just 0.1ms. In addition, the door can be opened by entering a digital password with an anti-prying function: random digits can be entered before or after the main combination to disguise it.

The lock features a removable 10,000 mAh battery that lasts for eight months of use. There’s also a built-in backup battery that extends the device for another 15 days. In case both batteries run out, the lock can be connected to a power source via the Type-C port to open it. There is Matter support for integration with smart home devices, and Wi-Fi for remote control and customization. The lock can also send event notifications to your smartphone.
FamiLock E34 is Grade 1 on the ANSI/BHMA scale, which makes it suitable for both private and commercial use. The device case is IP65 protected, withstands temperatures from -30 to +70 °C, and the electronics are resistant to electromagnetic pulses, supports AES-128 encryption and two-factor authentication.
