Skyworth has released a new 27-inch G27Q Max gaming monitor in China. The device features a QD-Mini LED panel with professional color reproduction, 2K resolution and an overclocked refresh rate of 250Hz. It has a recommended price of 1,499 yuan (about $210 USD).

Skyworth G27Q Max uses a Fast IPS panel with 2560×1440 resolution and a base refresh rate of 240Hz, which can be overclocked to 250Hz. Adaptive-Sync technology is supported to eliminate image tearing, and response time is 1ms (GtG). Dynamic Overdrive and ten levels of OD settings are available to further customize responsiveness.

The monitor features a QD-Mini LED backlight system with 220 zones of local dimming. Brightness reaches 750 nits in SDR mode and up to 1,800 nits in HDR, with automatic switching between modes. The screen covers 100% of sRGB, 98% of DCI-P3 and 99% of Adobe RGB color spaces. Factory calibration with ΔE<1 makes the display suitable not only for gaming, but also for professional photo and video work.

The sRGB, Adobe RGB, DCI-P3, BT.2020 and Rec.709 color spaces are supported, along with six preset display modes for different usage scenarios. A built-in Luma Boost engine enhances the brightness of SDR content, while a 30-level image adjustment system lets you fine-tune brightness, white balance, and tone map.

The monitor features two 3W stereo speakers and a five-position joystick for OSD menu control. Sky-SyncHub software supports AI scene recognition and automatic mode switching (FPS, MOBA, RPG and read mode). Other gaming features available include customizable aiming, dark zone enhancement, frame rate monitoring, and an on-screen timer.
