Redmi has unveiled the updated Redmi Book 14 (2025) with a more affordable price tag
By ForGeeks In January, Redmi introduced the Redmi Book 14 and Redmi Book 16 (2025) laptops along with the Redmi Turbo 4 smartphone in China. Now, the brand has quietly announced Redmi Book 14 (2025) Refreshed Edition – a more affordable version of the laptop for the domestic market.
New processor and reduced screen specs
The main difference between the Redmi Book 14 (2025) Refreshed Edition and the standard model is the replacement of the Intel Core 5-210H processor with the Intel Core i5-13420H. This chip has eight cores (four performance cores and four power-efficient cores) and twelve threads. The maximum clock frequency reaches 4.6 GHz, and Intel Smart Cache is 12 MB. The graphics part is represented by Intel UHD Graphics with 48 processing units and a frequency of 1.4 GHz.
The biggest change is to the screen. The standard version of the Redmi Book 14 (2025) features a 2.5K display at 120Hz, while the Refreshed Edition uses a 14-inch WUXGA (1920 × 1200) screen at 60Hz. The display supports 100% sRGB color gamut and anti-reflective coating, but users who want better clarity and smoothness may see this as a compromise.
Memory, connectors and battery life
Like the original model, the laptop features 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of PCIe SSD. The port set includes HDMI 2.1, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, USB-C with charging and data transfer support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are provided.
The 56Wh battery with support for fast 100W charging via USB-C is responsible for battery life. Redmi claims the laptop can be charged to 50% in 35 minutes. The metal body makes the device lightweight (1.37 kg), and other features include backlit keyboard and stereo speakers with DTS tuning. The operating system used is Windows 11.
Price and launch date
Redmi Book 14 (2025) Refreshed Edition is priced at 3,499 yuan. When the 20% government subsidy is taken into account, the final price may drop to 2,719 yuan. Sales in China are scheduled to start on March 24.
