Gigabyte has unveiled new Gaming A16 Pro and A18 gaming laptops with AI assistant and RTX 5080 graphics cards

Gigabyte has announced the global launch of the new Gaming A16 Pro and Gaming A18 gaming laptops to join the 2025 lineup. Both devices get graphics cards up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, built-in GiMATE AI assistant, and a battery that provides up to 12 hours of battery life.

Gigabyte has announced that the Gaming A16 Pro and Gaming A18 are the latest additions to its lineup.

The Gaming A16 Pro weighs about 2.3 pounds at less than 20mm thick. It utilizes the Windforce Infinity EX cooling system with a Frost Fan featuring 158 asymmetrical blades. This design allows you to keep the GPU power up to 115W at low temperatures. The notebook also features a 180° opening hinge.

The Gaming A18 is slightly larger — it weighs about 2.8 kg and is 20 mm thick. It utilizes a circularly ventilated cooling system to ensure stable temperatures during long gaming or creative sessions.

The two models get WQXGA (2560×1600) resolution displays with 165Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. The A16 Pro has a 16-inch 16:10 screen with 100% sRGB coverage and 400 nits of brightness, while the A18 offers an 18-inch panel with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and up to 300 nits of brightness. Dolby Atmos support and 2W stereo speakers deliver rich sound, while a redesigned keyboard with 1.7mm key travel and larger keycaps enhance typing comfort.

The Gaming A16 Pro is powered by Intel Core 7 240H processors and can pack a graphics card up to RTX 5080, while the Gaming A18 is equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 260 and a GPU up to RTX 5060. Both laptops support up to 64GB of DDR5 or LPDDR5x RAM (depending on configuration) and PCIe NVMe SSD drives up to 4TB.

The devices are optimized for gaming, creative tasks and AI workloads. Supports Nvidia DLSS 4, Nvidia Studio and NIM microservices for faster rendering and smoother images. The built-in GiMATE AI agent lets you control system parameters, cooling and privacy by voice — via the «Press and Speak» button. A MUX switch is also provided to select between integrated and discrete graphics depending on priority —performance or power efficiency.

The two models feature a 76Wh battery with support for fast charging via USB Type-C (PD 3.0). Interfaces include — Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit LAN, and USB-A and USB-C ports. A 1080p camera with IR sensor and microphone array provide high-quality video communication, while the Dolby Atmos system — provides surround sound.

Sales of the Gigabyte Gaming A16 Pro and A18 will begin in different regions at different times, depending on local retailers’ plans. The company has not disclosed the price of the new products yet.
