CES 2025: Lenovo revealed the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 laptop with a folding screen from Samsung Display

At CES 2025, Samsung Display unveiled revolutionary OLED display prototypes, including the Slidable Flex Solo. This innovative display has already found its way into the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, which will go on sale in July 2026.

Innovative Roll-Up OLED Display

Lenovo ThinkBook Plus G6 features Samsung Display’s Slidable Flex Solo display, which allows the screen to be resized:

• When folded, the laptop has a 14-inch screen with a resolution of 2,000 x 1,600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 5:4.
• When unfolded, the screen expands to 16.7 inches with a resolution of 2,000 x 2,350 pixels and an aspect ratio of 8:9.

This unique feature increases screen area by 50%, allowing two full-size application windows with a 16:9 aspect ratio to be placed simultaneously.

Eco² OLED technology

The display also utilizes Eco² OLED, an advanced technology previously used in the Galaxy Z Fold lineup. This technology eliminates the need for a traditional polarizer by integrating it into the panel itself. This improves the screen’s energy efficiency by 30% and improves its brightness to 400 nits.
