“Yandex” introduced a new service of affordable cab “Vezet”
By ForGeeks Yandex has launched a new affordable cab service called Veset, which will operate and develop independently of Yandex Taxi. The company says that during periods of high demand, the cost of rides in “Vezet” will be on average 20% lower than the “Economy” fare. However, the waiting time for a car may increase.
Vezet is positioned as a service for rush-free travel. For example, it is suitable for returning from a visit or going to the store when there is no need to rush. The biggest savings can be expected at times of high demand or in bad weather.
“Trips in the “Veset” service at high demand are cheaper than in the “Economy” tariff, because of the different approach to price formation. In both cases, the price rises during peak hours, but in Veset, only up to a certain limit: no more than 50% of the base fare. In addition, only those cars that are in the vicinity are assigned to Veset orders to minimize idle mileage,” the company said in its blog.
Customers in the “Vezet” service will be served by the same drivers as in the “Economy” tariff. At the same time, Yandex will reduce the commission – it will be about 2% lower on all “Vezet” orders than in “Econom”.
The Veset – Taxi Order app is already available for download on Android and iOS. The service works in all cities where Yandex Taxi is present.
