The Cadillac Lyriq 2026 gets a standard Super Cruise system and a new lineup of packages

Cadillac has decided to beef up its stylish Lyriq electric SUV for the 2026 model year. Super Cruise, which provides semi-automated hands-free driving, is now standard on all versions. At the same time, there have been changes to the equipment mix and price adjustments. The base price of the Lyriq has increased slightly, but the addition of a previously expensive option makes the model more attractive in terms of price/performance ratio.

From 2026, Cadillac has simplified the naming of packages. Instead of the old “1, 2, 3” designations, there are now clearer levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Signature Luxury, as well as their Sport, Premium Sport, and Signature Sport variants. The base “Luxury” version will cost from €50,500, which is €516 more expensive than the 2025 model. The entry-level Sport version is also up €516 to €51,000.

Interestingly, some intermediate versions have gotten cheaper. The new Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims (replacing last year’s Luxury 2 and Sport 2) will cost €53,900 and €54,400 respectively. But the top-of-the-range Signature Luxury and Signature Sport versions are up €687 to €57,900 and €58,300.

The main innovation for buyers is that Super Cruise is now standard. Previously, you had to opt for the more expensive versions to get it. This system allows you to drive hundreds of thousands of miles of highway in the U.S. and Canada without the need for a driver. In addition, Hitch Guidance and Hitch View are now standard on all versions, making it easier to tow trailers.

The Cadillac Lyriq stands out from other electric cars with its striking design. It measures 4,996 mm in length, 1,976 mm in width and 1,623 mm in height with a wheelbase of 3,094 mm. In the cabin, the curved 33-inch LED display, which combines the dashboard and multimedia system, draws attention.

In the face of intense competition in the premium electric car segment, the starting price of the 2026 Lyriq remains higher than the compact Cadillac Optiq 2026 (€46,430). However, compared to direct competitors – such as the Porsche Macan Electric (€64,300) and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV (€66,500) – the Lyriq looks like a better value proposition.
