New Changan CS75 Plus: Meet the next generation

The all-new Changan CS75 Plus made its long-awaited premiere at the Chengdu Motor Show. Though some sources are calling it the fourth generation, it’s actually just the second, as the previous three models were essentially facelifts of the same car that debuted in 2019. The new Changan CS75 Plus, on the other hand, is a completely redesigned model that gets an updated exterior, interior and, of course, power. Sales are expected to start as early as September.

The new Changan CS75 Plus will not leave you indifferent. At the front, the crossover will delight with its bold design with a huge grille, stylish headlamps with sharp edges and a powerful bumper. The rear part is decorated with a through taillight, emphasized by the Changan logo.
The dimensions of the model are also impressive. Length is now 4,770 mm, width — 1,910 mm and height — 1,695 mm. The wheelbase has increased to 2,800 mm, which is 90 mm more than the previous model. This promises spaciousness and comfort for driver and passengers alike.
At the same time, it’s also more spacious and comfortable.
The interior of the Changan CS75 Plus is packed with a host of modern technologies. At the center of attention is the triple screen that takes up a significant portion of the dashboard. The LCD instrument panel and front passenger entertainment screen are smaller than the center screen of the infotainment system, but all three elements are harmoniously integrated into one body.

The drive selector is now located on a steering column-mounted paddle shifter. That freed up space on the center console, where there are two wireless charging pads for cell phones, two cupholders, and a niche for change. Top-end versions will get heating, ventilation and massage functions for the front seats, which also maintain a state of weightlessness. That means they can recline to an almost flat floor.

The new Changan CS75 Plus will be offered with a gasoline engine only. Under the hood is the new Blue Whale 1.5T motor, which develops a maximum power output of 141kW and 310Nm of torque. Paired with it is an eight-speed Aisin automatic transmission. The car will also get the L2 driver assistance system, which provides features such as lane keeping assist and APA 5.0 parking.
