Nissan has released the first official images of the updated Nissan Ariya electric crossover, but there’s a twist — for now, the updated version will be available exclusively in Japan. The model will premiere at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo. The car has received an updated design and new technologies.

Nissan designers have given the Ariya a cleaner and more streamlined appearance. In profile, the crossover remains the same, but received new five-spoke alloy wheels with original texture, as well as a fresh variant of body color.

In the cabin, the changes are technological in nature. The old multimedia system has been replaced by a new platform with Google services integration. This means that the interface now features familiar Android apps and functions built right into the dashboard, making it more intuitive to use.

Another major update — the introduction of the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature. This allows the vehicle battery to be used as a mobile power source, powering a laptop, lights or even household appliances &#8212 a useful solution for travel and emergencies.

The updated Ariya also gets a reconfigured suspension adapted specifically for Japanese roads. While Nissan isn’t revealing details, the upgrades are expected to improve the vehicle’s comfort and handling.

Motor and battery packs remain unchanged, so power and range performance will be similar to the previous Ariya.
