Lada takes to the track: the brand debuts in “Formula 4” with its own team
By ForGeeks Lada has officially announced its participation in the revived Russian Formula 4 circuit racing championship. Lada Sport Rosneft confirmed on social media that the team will take part in the 2025 season, which starts in May and will consist of six rounds.
Change of course: from karting to bolide racing
For Lada, participation in Formula 4 is a step to a fundamentally new level of motorsport. The team will compete on modern Tatuus F4-T421 cars of the latest generation, specially designed for this racing series. The Lada Sport Rosneft Junior team, which has previously participated in national karting competitions, is responsible for the technical support of the project.
Lada Sport pupils will take the wheel
Two young, but already titled drivers – Yaroslav Shevirtalov, vice-champion of Russia in KZ2 class, and Artyom Severyukhin, bronze medalist of the last season, will take part in the championship as Lada pilots. Both athletes are alumni of the Lada Sport karting program, making the brand’s participation in Formula 4 a logical extension of its sporting ecosystem.
