Kia has launched production of its first all-electric car assembled in Europe — the EV4 model. Production is taking place at a plant in Žilina, Slovakia, and Kia’s CEO said the company plans to ramp up electric vehicle production in the European market within two years.

Kia’s CEO said that the company plans to increase the volume of electric vehicles in the European market.

The Žilina plant has a capacity of about 320,000 cars a year, but it could reach 350,000 when working overtime. By 2027, the South Korean automaker aims to produce more than 80,000 EV4s and 100,000 EV2s annually at the facility.

At the same time, the South Korean carmaker plans to produce more than 80,000 EV4s and 100,000 EV2s annually.

Globally, Kia aims to increase EV2 and EV4 production to 100,000 of each model by 2027. These volumes will allow the company to stabilize deliveries and make production of the new electric cars profitable.

At the same time, Kia is also aiming to increase production of the EV2 and EV4 by 2027.

To realize the plans, Kia will invest around 108 million euros to expand production capacity for EV2 and EV4.

The decision follows the successful launch of the EV4, strong electric vehicle sales in August and positive feedback from customers and the media. Meanwhile, the EV3 model has been a major contributor to the growth of Kia’s electric vehicles in Europe, with sales of 45,269 units in the last eight months.
