Chery eQ1 and eQ7: electric cars are preparing to enter the Russian market
By ForGeeks A closed conference for Russian dealers presented two new Chery electric cars – the eQ1 siticar and the eQ7 crossover, which will become part of the Chery NEV brand and will soon appear in Russian showrooms.
According to sources, the Chery eQ1 is a two-door hatchback with a compact body, small bumpers, large headlights and a short hood line. It can comfortably seat up to four people.
The eQ1 has a wheelbase of 2,150 mm and a ground clearance of 120 mm. The electric car is powered by a pair of electric motors with 41 and 75 hp. Range varies from 251 to 408 kilometers, depending on battery capacity.
The larger eQ7 — a mid-size crossover with a wheelbase width of 2,830 mm. The car is powered by a 210-hp electric motor and has a range of 412 to 512 kilometers, depending on battery capacity. The car reportedly won’t have an all-wheel-drive version.
The car will not have an all-wheel-drive version.
The source does not provide data on prices and configurations of novelties on the Russian market. But, it is known that in China Chery eQ1 costs from about 816,000 rubles, and eQ7 – from 1.6 million rubles.
