What we know about the multiple accounts feature
According to information from WaBetaInfo, the latest update to WhatsApp for iOS (version 25.2.10.70) includes a feature to add and manage multiple accounts within the app. This is an important innovation that was first seen in August 2023 on Android devices. WhatsApp was only testing the feature at the time, and now plans to bring it to iOS as well.

How the new feature will work
It’s not yet known exactly how support for multiple accounts will be implemented on iOS. However, the current version allows users to choose between setting up the device as their primary account or scanning a QR code to add a second account. This way, users can easily switch between WhatsApp accounts on the same device without having to use multiple devices.
Calls to implement the feature
Supporting multiple accounts on a single device is no easy task. The app will have to organize all chats, notifications, settings, and backups so that each account remains self-contained. However, users will be able to choose whether they want the settings for different accounts to be identical.

When to expect the update
There’s no definite information about the release date of this feature on iOS yet. However, the fact that developers are already working hard to implement it makes us confident that we won’t have long to wait. This will be a big step forward for iOS users who have been limited to a single account on their device until now.
