TikTok is testing AI Songa’s AI-assisted music creation tool

TikTok has introduced a new AI Song feature for creating songs using artificial intelligence. Users can enter lyrics themselves into a field when creating a post, and the artificial intelligence adds suitable sounds and lets them choose a genre. Initial results from TikTok musicians have been mixed, with some tunes falling a little short in terms of melody. While songs created by artificial intelligence aren’t exactly new to TikTok, the social network is looking to democratize the songwriting process.

The AI Song option — a handy feature to describe a desired theme, such as going to dance lessons or concerts, so that the “app” starts generating different versions of the song. You can also choose one of the suggested themes supported by the feature in question.
