Mozilla’s Firefox browser will feature an “AI window”
Mozilla is working on a new tool for Firefox called AI Window. It will be a separate area within the browser where users can optionally communicate with an AI assistant and get help while browsing websites. The main goal of the project — to give users full control over when and how they want to interact with the artificial intelligence.
AI Window will be an additional option alongside the regular Firefox window and a private window that will still provide enhanced privacy. The new feature is still in development, and those interested can leave a request on the Mozilla blog to get early access and share feedback.
Built-in AI tools in browsers — one of the biggest trends in the industry. Virtually every browser and AI platform developer is in a race to create the most advanced integration. Mozilla is not being left behind: the company has previously unveiled a tool for the iOS version of Firefox that allows you to shake your smartphone and get an AI summary of the web page you’re viewing.
