Samsung is expanding the One UI 7 beta program beyond the Galaxy S24

After a long wait, Samsung has finally started rolling out the One UI 7 beta to devices other than the Galaxy S24 series. The test firmware is now available for owners of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable smartphones.
Samsung originally announced the One UI 7 beta program back in December 2024, which was a little later than usual. Galaxy S24 users were the first to be allowed to test it, and the company released a few updates to the beta that month. But then came a long lull: until now, Samsung hadn’t offered One UI 7 for any other device. That situation has now changed.
The beta version of One UI 7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones has already been spotted in India, South Korea and the US. It will also soon be available in the UK.
Owners of Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the US will receive the update as F956U1UEU2ZYBJ and in India as F956BXXU2ZYBJ. For users Galaxy Z Flip 6 in South Korea, the test firmware is version F741NKSU2ZYBJ. This is a major update, the package size is about 5GB, indicating significant changes. In addition to new features and improvements to One UI 7, the build also includes March 2025 security patch.
How to join the One UI 7 beta program?
Joining the One UI 7 beta program gives you a chance to try out new features before anyone else, but it also comes with some risks. Test builds often contain bugs and errors, so it’s best to install them on a non-mainstream device. It is recommended that you back up your data before upgrading, as there is always the possibility that the installation will fail.
To find out if the beta version is available for your device, you need to check the Samsung Members app. If the program has already launched in your region (India, South Korea, UK, or US), you’ll see the One UI 7 Beta Program banner in the app. If the banner is missing, it’s worth checking back later.
- Click Enroll and fill out the application form.
- Open Settings > Software Update
- Select Download and install
Before installing the beta version, make sure battery power is above 40% and all important data is saved. You can temporarily use Samsung Cloud Storage, which allows free unlimited downloads for 30 days.
The expansion of the One UI 7 beta program shows that Samsung is actively preparing for a full shell release for more devices. Now owners of foldable smartphones will be able to test the update ahead of the official release.
