Google’s app has gotten a “Notifications” tab on Android

After the Google app went live on the web in March, it’s adding a special «Notifications» feed to the bottom bar on Android. Using the standard bell icon, «Notifications» joined «Open», «Search» and «Saved» as the fourth element of the bottom bar. (This really emphasizes that Google’s app is one of the last third-party clients that hasn’t updated to the Material 3 design. Even Google’s iOS app has moved to Material 3, and a recent update removed the accompanying text labels to match Gmail’s.)
Material 3.
The feed displays alerts sent by Google Search, including current and upcoming weather conditions, flight information, sports scores, available movies/TV shows, word of the day, and more. They’re categorized by «Today» and «Earlier».

This is useful if you miss a notification from the Google app, and more targeted than the Android system-level story. Tapping loads a search query related to the notification, and an overflow menu for each item lets you choose «Delete», «Don’t receive similar notifications» and «Send Feedback».
And you can select «Delete», «Don’t receive similar notifications» and «Send Feedback».
This change is already being rolled out, but not very widely yet. We’re seeing it in the latest beta (version 15.20) today.
