Google Play Store could soon use AI to answer questions about apps

Google is actively integrating artificial intelligence into its products, and now the Google Play Store, the main app store for Android devices, is coming up. The latest news suggests that Google is about to add a feature that will allow users to ask questions about an app they’re interested in right on the app’s description page.

A recent report shows signs of a new feature called “Ask a Question” in Google Play Store version 43.3.32-31. With this option, users will be able to ask a question about an app or game that they have their eye on. It is known that the feature will be placed right in the app list and search results. Users will be able to see a “Ask a Question” button or text that when clicked will open up an input box where they can enter their query and get an answer generated by the AI.

So far, Google hasn’t officially released the feature or made any announcements about its launch date. Nevertheless, the feature seems logical for the practical use of AI, as it will benefit both users and developers. With AI answers, users will be able to quickly see if an app is a good fit for their needs without having to spend time reading long descriptions.

AI is expanding its presence in the Google Play Store

Last year saw the introduction of AI-powered summaries to the Google Play Store, allowing users to more quickly assess whether certain apps are right for them. FAQs, also supported by AI, were added later. The new “Ask a Question” feature is expected to be the final element in the integration of AI into the Google Play Store, making it even more convenient and efficient for users to interact with the store.
