Apple will release iOS 18 Developer Beta 2 on Monday, June 24th

Most people prefer the weekend to last as long as possible to enjoy a break from work. However, some iPhone users may be hoping for a quick end to the weekend because Apple will release iOS 18 Developer Beta 2 on Monday. The company says the update will include two features that weren’t in the first beta: iPhone mirroring and screen sharing with SharePlay.

With iPhone mirroring, users will be able to display their iPhone screen on a Mac. As a result, notifications from the iPhone will appear on the Mac, and you’ll be able to drag and drop files between the devices. The second feature, which Apple will introduce on Monday with iOS 18 Developer Beta 2, lets users draw on another person’s screen to show them what to do, or control their screen themselves.

The update will also fix some bugs that were present in iOS 18 Developer Beta 1. Note that none of the Apple Intelligence features demonstrated at WWDC this month will appear in this beta yet. It’s not yet known what exactly will be included in Monday’s update, but none of the non-AI Siri improvements have been added to the iOS 18 Developer Beta yet either. That’s likely to change on Monday.
Maybe that will change on Monday.
In addition to iOS 18 Developer Beta 2, iPadOS Developer Beta 2 could be released on Monday, along with second betas for macOS Sequoia, tvOS 18, visionOS 2, and watchOS 11. Public betas will be available in July, and Apple Intelligence features will appear in the respective betas this summer.
