Generative AI – now in your pocket

For those unfamiliar with the product, Adobe Firefly is a set of generative AI models that allows you to create images, videos and other visual content using simple text queries or by editing existing content.

The mobile version of Firefly gives users the ability to create literally on the go. The main advantage is access to all the key features of the desktop version, including:

  • Generative Fill
  • Generative Expand
  • Text to Image
  • Text to Video
  • Image to Video

Firefly was first available as part of the Creative Cloud suite and as a standalone web app, but now the full functionality is available on mobile devices.

Flexibility of choice: Adobe or partner models

The new version features the ability to choose between Adobe’s proprietary models, which are considered commercially safe, and partner models from companies like Google and OpenAI. This is especially true when working with image and video generation functions.

The list of supported models has also expanded. Here are some of the models available in the Firefly ecosystem:

  • Flux 1.1 Pro and Flux.1 Kontext by Black Forest Lab
  • Ideogram 3.0 by Ideogram
  • Imagen 3 and Imagen 4 by Google
  • Image generation model from OpenAI
  • Gen-4 Image from Runway
  • Veo 2 and Veo 3 from Google
  • Ray2 by Luma AI
  • Video generator by text by Pika

All of these models work alongside Adobe’s own models for creating images, video, audio, and vector graphics.

Sync with Creative Cloud

Everything a user creates in the mobile version of Firefly is automatically synchronized with their Creative Cloud account. That means you can start a project on your phone and finish it on your desktop computer-or vice versa. This convenience makes Firefly a particularly attractive tool for creators who want to stay productive away from the office or studio.
