What to expect from WWDC 2024

At the upcoming WWDC 2024, like many previous conferences, we don’t expect any new hardware announcements. Instead, the event will focus on software updates. First up, Apple will unveil iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 for iPhone and iPad. This will be followed by watchOS 11 for Apple Watch and tvOS 18 for Apple TV. The next version of macOS (version 15) and updates to Apple Vision Pro are also expected to be announced.

We could see significant changes in iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, including a new design, RCS support for iMessage, and a revamped Control Center. Artificial intelligence will also play a key role in these updates, which will likely affect the Apple Watch, Mac, and possibly Apple TV as well. For Vision Pro, the new version of visionOS 2 is expected to bring a host of native apps such as books, calendar, maps, news, reminders, podcasts, shortcuts, voice memos, and more.

After the new software products are announced, Apple will release the first beta versions to developers. Public betas will be available in early July, and final public versions of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, visionOS 2, watchOS 11, and macOS 15 will be released this fall.
