We’ve put together a selection of the best TVs to buy in 2024.
Sony A95L QD-OLED
TheSony A95L QD-OLED is an absolute favorite. When it came out last year, it was hailed as the best TV it had ever reviewed, so you know you’re in for a very good picture, sound, and other features. And even though the TV came out in 2023, it can still be called the «flagship killer» of 2024. And it also features a QD-OLED display.
And it has a QD-OLED display.

For those not in the know, “QD-OLED” stands for Quantum Dot-Organic Light Emitting Diode. The device is -OLED at its core, and the screen contains self-flammable pixels. But beyond that, the A95L has a layer of quantum dots embedded in it, which works wonders for color reproduction and peak brightness levels, not to mention a wide color gamut.”

With such powerful performance and great sound design, you’d think you had a high-end soundbar or surround sound-lite connected to your TV, but no: it’s all in the TV’s speakers.
The picture is endless to talk about, but it has some of the best color clarity and saturation. The A95L also delivers stunning 4K upscaling that not only brings low-resolution content closer to Ultra HD quality, but also reduces image noise, giving the final frames a clean and crisp look. The A95L is also a great TV for gaming, especially for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S owners.

Pricing-wise, this TV will be one of the most expensive on the list, starting at R350,000.
LG G4 evo OLED
The TV will only show itself at 100% if you dig into the settings a bit. As a result, the TV has great versatility – it can be maximized if you’re going to use it in a bright room, or it can be dimmed if you’re going to use it in a darker room, for example. The choice is yours.

There’s been a lot of buzz and rumors about Samsung and Sony coming out with QD-OLED technology, which is supposed to make the picture brighter than OLED, but now the technology has arrived in LG’s TVs. It’s also great that the device uses LG’s latest chip and a11 AI processor. The new chip brings increased processing speeds, unrivaled picture scaling, lag-free streaming and high performance audio to LG’s flagship lineup.
The new chip is a great way to improve the performance of LG’s flagship lineup.
Cost from RUB 200,000.
OLED TV Samsung S95D
Samsung’s S95D is further proof that one of the biggest TV manufacturers has no intention of stopping there. The S95D QD-OLED delivers impressive brightness levels on par with some of the best LED TVs on the market. OLED TVs from other companies can produce a dimmer picture in sunny rooms, but the S95D’s anti-glare screen does the job, making it a great choice for rooms even with bright lighting. There’s a downside: OLED. With millions of self-replicating pixels, plus great HDR capabilities, black colors and ultra-saturated hues are the norm for the S95D.

The main feature of the S95D — is the special anti-reflective coating that appeared on the TV this year. It was first demonstrated at CES 2024, and it’s a cool technology that does a great job of dramatically reducing glare, especially in bright rooms. Compared to traditional OLED TVs, however, it may reduce the glare of the image somewhat.
Compared to traditional OLED TVs, however, it can be a bit of a pain.
Samsung’s S95D was also a bit of a surprise with its excellent sound. Typically, TVs have pretty weak built-in speakers. The S95D has rear speakers and eight woofers that provide decent bass sound. These speakers won’t replace a soundbar anyway, but for everyday viewing it’s perfectly fine. Especially if you plan to mount this TV on the wall, where the speaker design works best.
Samsung’s S95D is a strong contender for best OLED TV, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that it features a One Connect box that gets rid of cables. One single caveat is that it runs the Tizen operating system, which can be easily remedied by plugging in your favorite streaming device instead. If you prioritize absolute picture perfection in a dark room over reflection control, you might want to consider other options. But for most viewers, the S95D is a good option.

Cost from R250,000.
LG M3 Wireless OLED
The LG M3 Wireless OLED TV has emerged to solve a problem many home theaters face: too many wires. When it comes to power cables, we’ll always rely on wire and power bricks (at least for the foreseeable future), but when it comes to AV connections (HDMI and digital optical), that’s where TVs like the LG M3 start to change the game. In terms of picture quality, the M3 is almost as good as the amazing LG G3, our favorite OLED TV of the year. But the M3’s real calling card is its ability to wirelessly receive picture and sound from a broadcast box called the Zero Connect Box.
The M3’s real drawcard is its ability to wirelessly receive picture and sound from a broadcast box called the Zero Connect Box.

Zero Connect includes three HDMI ports that can transmit 4K images at up to 120Hz (and a second port is eARC/ARC compatible), a digital optical port, Ethernet, two USB-A ports, and an IR output. If the transmitting device is within range of the M3 TV receiver, you can enjoy wireless audio and video. Keep in mind that if you plan to use a soundbar, the Zero Connect must be placed close enough to the TV, or the cord length won’t be long enough to accommodate the soundbar under the M3.
The Zero Connect must be positioned close enough to the TV, otherwise it won’t be long enough to place the soundbar under the M3.
As mentioned, the picture quality on this model is on par with the LG G3. It’s definitely the kind of next-gen TV that relies on one great feature more than any other. But for those features, it’s also priced accordingly, at R500,000.
Hisense U8N
We’re finding it harder and harder to call Hisense a “budget” brand. Such a connotation simply doesn’t do justice to the picture and sound quality you’ll get from Hisense TVs, especially if you’ve opted for one of their U8 offerings.
Hisense U8N

Hisense U8N 2024 — the newest addition to the Hisense family, and the picture quality is admirable.
The U8N — is a powerful TV that delivers a bright and colorful picture in SDR and HDR viewing modes. When measuring brightness in these modes, peak brightness was recorded at 1,300 nits in SDR and around 3,500 nits for glare in HDR. There’s no doubt that the U8N can be very bright, but it also delivers the kind of incredible contrast ratios that might fool some people into thinking it’s really an OLED display.

Although the viewing angle sags a bit, if you can position the TV properly in your room, there’s no doubt that the Hisense U8N — one of the best bright TVs on the market in 2024.
Cost – from 150,000 rubles.
