Samsung rolls out fourth One UI 8.5 beta for Galaxy S25 series
Samsung has released the fourth beta version of its One UI 8.5 interface, which is set to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series. The next-generation flagship lineup is expected to be unveiled on February 25.
This beta update was initially slated for mid-January but appears to have been delayed by a few weeks. The latest build is now available for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra users in South Korea, Samsung’s home market.

The update weighs in at around 1.5GB and carries a firmware version ending with ZZAL. This build addresses a number of bugs, including an issue where calls would unexpectedly switch to speaker mode, glitches when viewing call history in the Phone app, and a problem causing audio during Bluetooth headset calls to be heard by only one party. It also fixes a bug where tapping the call log icon inserted a number into the dial pad, and resolves a flaw where the AI Select menu wouldn’t close automatically after selecting “Copy.”
Users participating in the One UI 8.5 beta program on supported devices in eligible regions can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install on their smartphones.
