Arc Raiders servers unavailable: massive outage affects players on all platforms

Online shooter Arc Raiders is temporarily unavailable, with players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC experiencing login errors, queues and loading screen freezes.
The night before, Arc Raiders users began reporting problems connecting to the game’s servers en masse. The failure affected all platforms – current-gen consoles and PCs. Errors occurred as early as the authorization stage, and in some cases, players found themselves in endless queues or stuck on loading screens.
According to crash-monitoring services, the first reports of glitches appeared at around 8 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time. Reports peaked less than an hour later, when the number of complaints reached tens of thousands. Although the total number of reported problems later began to decline, Arc Raiders servers remain unavailable at the time of publication.
What’s going on with Arc Raiders
Users discuss the situation on game forums and in thematic communities, noting the same nature of the problems: inability to log into the account, unstable connection and complete inaccessibility of matches. The problem is not related to local device settings or the quality of the internet connection – it’s a server-side issue.
The developers of Arc Raiders have not yet announced the exact causes of the problem. It’s expected that the studio team is aware of the problem and is already working on restoring the servers, but there’s no official timeline for when the game will be back online.
Possible causes and previous incidents
This is not the first such incident recently. Arc Raiders already experienced a large-scale server outage in late November. The current outage may be related to increased load on the infrastructure due to the holiday period, when more users than usual are in the game at the same time.
While the servers remain unavailable, players are advised to refrain from trying to log back in and not to change system or network settings. The problem is on the server side, and it is up to the developers to fix it.
