Apple has revealed new Liquid Glass icons for iOS apps

After Apple’s recent presentation, it was revealed that the built-in app icons will be updated with the release of iOS 26. Images of the newLiquid Glass style icons for Apple Store, Clips, GarageBand, iMovie, Keynote, Numbers, and Pages apps have appeared on the iPhone 16’s specs pages.
What will change
These apps are pre-installed on the new iPhones, but were not part of the iOS 26 beta as they are updated through the App Store. Users will get the new icons along with the iOS 26 release on Monday.

The updates mostly focus on the «glass» design, emphasizing the new iOS visual style. But some apps, like Clips and GarageBand, have more noticeable changes.
Inconsistency on Apple’s website
The new icons are already showing up on iPhone pages, but Mac pages still show older versions of the icons. With the release of macOS Tahoe and an updated Mac app bundle scheduled for Monday, the Liquid Glass design is expected to make its way to desktop systems as well.

When to expect the update
All new icons will appear with app updates in the App Store at the same time as the launch of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. Mac users will likely see the updates later — closer to the end of 2025 or early 2026 when new devices and software are released.
