Apple reveals list of macOS Tahoe 26 innovations: release on September 15

Apple is preparing to launch the next generation of its desktop operating system – macOS Tahoe 26 – with a release on Monday, September 15. The company released the final version (RC) this week and accompanied it with updated release notes.
Unlike in years past, Apple presented the release notes not as a simple list, but in a carousel format with descriptions and illustrations of key features.

macOS Tahoe has gotten a revamped interface. A transparent menu bar creates the feeling of more screen space, while Liquid Glass sidebars and app toolbars refract content and emphasize content. Users will be able to personalize icons and widgets with a choice of light, dark, tinted, or transparent designs.
