Global search by posts will appear in Telegram

The messenger has started testing a global post search feature – users will be able to find posts by keywords among all public channels at once. The feature is still available in beta, but it’s already been discovered by test participants.
New search with a restriction: only two queries for free
According to the available data, Telegram is implementing a new search format with certain restrictions. Users will have access to two free queries per day, and will have to pay for additional queries. The cost is 10 Stars for 2 requests. The Stars system is Telegram’s internal currency, which you can buy with real money or get for being active.

Thereby, global search in Telegram will become a partially paid feature. This means access to posts from all public channels, regardless of subscription. The current Telegram search is limited to only those channels and chats where the user is a member.
Potentially important tool for finding information
Global search on public channels could seriously change the user scenario. Telegram is the world’s largest platform with channels, and access to such an index of posts creates an alternative to search engines and social media.
It’s not yet known when the new feature will be available to all users. Telegram traditionally rolls out innovations gradually – first through testing in beta, then to a wider audience.
