Xiaomi announces Pad 7S Pro tablet

Xiaomi has launched a teaser campaign to promote its new Pad 7S Pro tablet, hinting at its imminent launch in China as early as this month. One of the main features of the device will be the proprietary Xring O1 chip, previously used in the Pad 7 Ultra.
The tablet will feature a 12.5-inch LCD display, and a 12,160mAh battery with 120W ultra-fast charging support is responsible for battery life. The device will run Android 15 with HyperOS 2.0, a proprietary HyperOS 2.0 shell focused on delivering functionality closer to a full PC platform.
Support for the Xiaomi Pen stylus and a slim body with a thickness of just 5.8mm have also been confirmed.

Official images show an aluminum monoblock body and narrow bezels around the perimeter of the display with rounded corners. The Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro will be compatible with a new version of the floating keyboard, similar to the accessory for the Pad 7 Ultra. It features a metal hinge for stability and a large trackpad, bringing the user experience closer to that of a laptop.
One of the interesting features of the tablet will be support for in-car mounts, a feature the older Pad 7 Ultra didn’t have. This makes the Pad 7S Pro a more convenient solution for multimedia and navigation tasks in the car, especially given the capabilities of the Xring O1 platform.
An interesting feature of the tablet will be support for car seat mounting, a feature not found on the older Pad 7 Ultra.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil the tablet at the same time as the Redmi sub-brand’s new products – the K80 Ultra smartphone and the mobile gaming-focused K Pad tablet. A full-fledged announcement could take place as early as the coming weeks.
