Yandex introduced Search Verticals for selecting goods and services

Users can search and compare products, apartments, and finances right in Search

Yandex has unveiled an update to its search engine, Search Vertical. The new functionality allows you to search and compare offers in three main areas: goods, apartments and financial products. All objects are combined into special verticals, in which it is easy to navigate and choose the best options. In addition, for the first time it is now possible to make a service directly in the Search interface.

The main page of the Yandex with Alice mobile app has been updated for quick access to verticals. There appeared buttons to go to the sections “Apartments”, “Finance” and “Goods”. Yandex’s algorithms recognize the user’s intention to buy or choose a product and offer thematic blocks with suitable offers.

Financial products: from deposits to insurance

The Finance vertical brings together offers from banks, insurance and financial organizations. Here you can compare terms on loans, deposits, debit and credit cards, mortgages and insurance policies.

Filters are available to users: for example, for a credit card, by grace period and installment, and for a savings account, by interest rate and opening method. The first service available for registration directly in the Search is the MTPL policy. In the future, similar functionality will be available for other products.

Real Estate: buying and renting apartments

The “Apartments” section allows you to search for real estate ads for sale and rent on both primary and secondary markets. The information comes from various sites, including developers’ sites and aggregators. Listings for the same property are organized into cards to simplify price comparisons.

Search can be customized with filters: by price, neighborhood, number of rooms, area, rental period and other parameters. Favorite offers are saved in “Favorites.”

Products: a selection of the best offers from all over the runet

The “Goods” vertical collects offers from online stores and marketplaces. Artificial intelligence helps you navigate the assortment and choose favorable conditions.

Each product has a card that combines different suggestions. Alice can make recommendations for appliances, electronics, and repair products. The “What are they?” button provides more information about features and selection options.

The “Inspired to Buy” section displays personalized product picks based on a user’s interests. They help you discover local brands and what’s new.
