MWC 2025: Oppo unveils new AI strategy

Oppo announced its new artificial intelligence (AI) strategy at the Oppo AI Tech Summit at MWC 2025. The company plans to integrate advanced AI solutions into its smartphones, emphasizing innovation, security, and system AI enhancements
A New Era of System AI
Oppo is taking a step forward, moving from functional AI to a deeply integrated system AI experience. In partnership with Google, the company will implement Gemini AI in branded apps such as Notes, Calendar and Clock, with Gemini 2.0 coming to Oppo devices in the near future.
Security and Data Protection
To ensure security, Oppo utilizes Google Cloud Confidential Computing, which protects user data through Private Computing Cloud. As part of this approach, AI Recording Summary, AI Search, AI Studio, and AI Call Summary will be integrated in 2025.

AI performance optimization
The company is also working on improving AI performance with MediaTek. The latest chips will allow real-time processing of AI tasks without sacrificing power efficiency. Among the new AI features expected to be:
- AI Call Translator – real-time translation of phone conversations.
- AI VoiceScribe – automatic creation of text notes from voice recordings.
Oppo’s ambitious AI plans
Oppo aims to double the number of AI users to 100 million by the end of 2025. To accomplish this, the company plans to release one AI update per month. The first smartphone to get AI Search and Google Gemini deep integration will be the Oppo Find N5
