Changes to Apple Intelligence notifications

Apple has temporarily removed notification summaries for news and entertainment apps due to potential errors and misunderstandings. Users will be able to re-enable this feature if they wish in the future.

All notifications created by Apple Intelligence are now displayed in italics to make them easier to distinguish from regular notifications. You can control the summary settings right from the lock screen by simply swiping and selecting “Options.”

App fixes and new features

• In the Calculator app, fixed an issue where repeatedly tapping the equal sign duplicated the previous math operation.
• Fixed an issue where the keyboard would disappear when entering a query for Siri.
• An issue where music playback would continue to the end of a track even after closing the Apple Music app has been resolved.

With the release of this update, Apple Intelligence features will be automatically enabled for both new users and those who upgrade to iOS 18.3. This means that AI options are now a default setting, rather than requiring activation.
