WhatsApp has officially introduced Message Drafts, a feature that helps users remember unsaved messages that have been started but not sent.
How does it work?
- If you start typing a message and don’t send it, the “Draft” indicator will appear in the chat list in green before the text.
- This chat will automatically rise to the top of the list so that you can quickly notice the unsaved message.

Limitations of the feature
- Lack of synchronization between devices:
Message drafts are not synchronized on other devices and in the web version.
In comparison, in Telegram users can start a message on one device and send it from another, which is more convenient for multitasking users.

Many are hoping WhatsApp will expand drafts by adding cross-device synchronization in future updates to compete with platforms like Telegram.
While WhatsApp’s new drafts feature is user-friendly, in its current form it doesn’t offer syncing between devices, which could limit its popularity among those who actively use multiple gadgets.
