The Volgabus Volzhsky plant is actively working on an import substitution program in the production of its buses. This became known after a visit to the company by Russian Transport Minister Roman Starovoit and Volgograd Region Governor Andrei Bocharov.

The press service of the company emphasized that Volgabus Volzhsky is one of the key manufacturers, which provides orders to hundreds of related companies not only in the Volgograd region, but also in many regions of Russia. Today, the share of import-substituted products already exceeds 50% of the total range of parts and materials. Among the goods supplied are metal, plastic, glass, soft floor coverings, gas cylinders, fuel tanks, batteries, as well as electrics and electronics. All of these components come from domestic manufacturers. The current focus is on import substitution in critical segments.
