RuStore told about “explosive growth” in the number of game developers

At the same time, they revealed the main sources of income of game creators and their profit size in comparison with other development companies, as well as named the most popular categories of games in the store.
According to statistics, the main income of game developers in RuStore comes from in-game purchases, exclusive item sets and other digital goods. The number of these transactions is constantly growing: 4,444, the monthly growth of these purchases amounted to 22% in the first half of 2024.

According to Ilya Ulyanov, RuStore’s director of partnerships, in addition to developers, new games are also appearing on the platform: 2,000 titles have been added to the catalog over the past six months. In addition to public activity, Ulyanov believes that the reason for RuStore’s growing popularity is the development of promotional tools inside the store.
RuStore previously added support for monetizing individual games and apps, which may have affected the platform’s appeal to indie developers. However, so far the most popular titles include “big” games. For example, Tanks Blitz. But even they are not popular everywhere – for example, in the Moscow region, puzzle games are more popular.
