WhatsApp video calls get three very useful features
There’s support for up to 32 participants on video calls for Mac and Windows, screen sharing with audio, and a speaker highlighting feature. Someday WhatsApp will catch up to Zoom and other modern solutions.
WhatsApp for Mac and Windows now supports up to 32 participants on video calls
.
Up until now, using Android or iOS devices, WhatsApp allowed you to add up to 32 participants on a video call. However, for Windows and Mac users, the number of participants was limited to 16 for Windows and just 8 for Mac. Now that restriction has been lifted, you can add up to 32 people to a video call using the WhatsApp for Windows and Mac apps.

Screen sharing with audio is now possible
Previously, when sharing a screen during a video call, WhatsApp only transmitted video, not audio. If your device was playing audio, the app did not share it with others in the call. This has changed. Now, when you share your screen during a video call, WhatsApp will stream both video and audio. The new feature allows you to watch videos together with your friends.
