Samsung “captured” the market of OLED-monitors

It was only a year ago that Samsung launched its first OLED monitor, the 34-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G85SB), but it has already reached the top of this market. According to IDC, Samsung accounted for 28.3% of the number of OLED monitors sold globally in 2023.

When it comes to revenue, the company earned 34.7% of its total revenue from OLED monitor sales.

On top of that, Samsung has topped the gaming monitor market for the fifth consecutive year, with a 20.8% market share. From 2023, a «gaming monitor» is defined as having a refresh rate of 144Hz or higher, before that it was 100Hz or higher.
